Brian the Brain's
Science Lab

Hi! I am Brian. Welcome to my science lab, otherwise known as my room.

I have fossils, rock specimens, a robot, and other things in my room. Kyle will tell you my coprolites* are the coolest. I also have lots of scientific equipment, so I can perform interesting experiments. Today, I will show you how to make slime.

*What's a Coprolite?

Make your own SLIME!

Make your own slime!

It's easy to assemble the ingredients for this activity. You probably have everything except the Borax, which you can buy at a grocery store.

What you need:
  1. Borax
  2. White glue (such as Elmer's)
  3. Food coloring
  4. Zip-lock bag
  5. Bowl
  6. Measuring cup

How to make it:

  1. Wash your hands. You should do this before performing all experiments. Making slime with clean hands also helps the slime stay un-moldy longer.
  2. Pour the glue into the measuring cup. Then pour water into the glue bottle and add that to the glue in the measuring cup. (This way, you get equal amounts of water and glue.)
  3. Add a few drops of food coloring.
  4. In the bowl, dissolve 1 teaspoon of Borax into 1 cup of water.
  5. Pour the glue mixture into the bowl. Stir the mixture.
  6. Place the mixture in a zip-lock bag and knead the mixture. Don't worry about the extra water in the bowl.
  7. Have fun with your slime! Store it in a zip-lock bag in the fridge.
